The story
The Feathers Ludlow sits on the historic Bull Ring, where its carved wooden motifs and Jacobean interiors frame a dedicated kitchen for Modern British cuisine. Built in 1619 by attorney Rees Jones, the Grade I listed timber-framed building has welcomed guests for over four centuries. Architectural critic Nikolaus Pevsner praised the structure as a prodigy of timber-framed houses, and a 1983 New York Times feature crowned it the most handsome inn in the world.
The Plume Restaurant earned an AA Rosette award for consistently delivering seasonal dishes crafted from locally sourced Shropshire produce.
