Linden Stores in Knutsford serves seasonal British food alongside a curated wine selection. Partners Chris Boustead and Laura Christie named their restaurant after a childhood street in Scarborough. Chris approaches the menu with a strong emphasis on sustainability and occasional foraged ingredients gathered across Cheshire. Their son Ollie assists in the dining room during busy weekend service.

The kitchen approach

Diners typically share a series of seasonal plates designed to bring people together. The chef crafts both a la carte options and a three-course tasting menu that rotates with local harvests. This commitment to straightforward British cooking earned the venue one AA Rosette for culinary excellence. Dietary requirements are accommodated with 48 hours notice.

Wines and the dining room

Laura curates a list built entirely around unusual bottles from small scale producers. Guests can enjoy these selections on the sunlit garden terrace or inside the compact main room. The wine program recently secured a listing in the Star Wine List guide. Private tastings are available for groups of six or more.
