The story
Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa brings modern European dining to Bexley within a countryside setting just thirty minutes from central London. The Alexander Hotels property holds an AA 2 Rosette Award for culinary excellence, recognizing a kitchen that serves an extensive brasserie-style menu.
Alice Alexander's family constructed a summer house on this site in 1868, and the original spruce tree planted by the Waites family gardener still stands opposite the entrance. Michael Feasey, a local butcher, transformed the property into a hotel and restaurant in 1977 before Alexander Hotels acquired it in 1994 to introduce the brand's inaugural Utopia Spa. The kitchen delivers a modern European repertoire anchored by the brasserie-style menu.
RG's Restaurant occupies a light-filled orangery-style room where the modern European menu flows onto the terrace during warmer months. Guests can order from a selection that includes classic comfort items like the signature Rowhill Burger served in the adjacent country-club style Elements Bar & Lounge. The kitchen maintains an elegantly smart dress code for evening dining while offering vegan and vegetarian options across both venues.
Afternoon tea features delicate patisserie and light-as-air sandwiches presented in either the orangery or the Sitting Room. Summer bookings allow guests to take this meal al fresco on the terrace alongside cocktails from the bar menu. The dining program caters to groups up to sixteen people directly through the booking platform, with private rooms available for larger celebrations in RG's.
