The story
Padelle d’Italia has served traditional Italian cooking in Nürnberg since opening in 2008. Nino and Donato built the space around a clear premise. They prioritize familiar flavors over modern experimentation. Daily menus shift with seasonal arrivals. The Schlemmer Atlas recognized this steady approach with a 1.5 Kochlöffel award.
The menu highlights ingredients that travel well and retain their texture. A thick slice of swordfish carpaccio arrives dressed simply to let the briny flesh speak. Handmade agnolotti appear stuffed with ricotta and dried tomato pesto before toasted pine nuts finish the filling. This Italian kitchen maintains strict quality control across every station.
Situated just off the Lorenzer Platz transit hub, the space catches easy foot traffic from locals and visitors alike. Tables sit close together while waitstaff move quickly between the pass and the floor. The kitchen prepares daily specials alongside classic Italian cooking standards. Gluten-free noodles and doughs are available upon request.
