The name originates from a short story by Hermann Löns. A young man rescues a small dog that replies "Like you" when asked for its identity. The locals call the animal Widu, and it matures into a remarkable hunting dog capable of saving children. The restaurant adopts this name to honor the bravery of the canine hero who earns a memorial stone following a tragic hunting accident.
The menu transforms with the changing seasons. Spring introductions pair wild garlic and sorrel with early asparagus, strawberries, and rhubarb. Summer offerings shift toward lighter compositions, featuring salads and seafood selections such as gambas.
