The story

Guests aged eighteen and over enter a venue that has long served as a gathering point for local musicians and visitors seeking a relaxed night out. Soundchecks conclude by seven o'clock, leaving the house staff ready to welcome diners.
The Schlemmer Atlas awarded three spoons to this establishment for its carefully structured three to four course dinners. The kitchen applies German cooking principles to seasonal ingredients, ensuring every plate reflects local harvests. Dishes arrive in lovingly restored rooms that sit behind three hundred year old timber framing.
Natural light fills the renovated dining areas during late afternoons, while heavy timber beams and original stonework anchor the atmosphere. Beyond the main hall, a forty five hectare estate stretches into the surrounding landscape. Bison and Galloway cattle graze on these hills, giving guests a quiet connection to traditional German gastronomy.
