The story
At La Tablée in Shenzhen, Chef Lin Qi transforms modern fusion cuisine through a perspective shaped by his tenure at Per Se in New York and Jungsik in Seoul. Also known as Rainy, he synthesizes French, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean techniques into a menu that shifts according to the seasons. His cooking prioritizes the genuine character of ingredients and interprets natural rhythms, delivering dishes that maintain a harmonious balance across diverse culinary traditions.
Built by the WINE LAB team, one of the earliest wine-focused dining concepts in Shenzhen, the venue champions a relaxed casual fine dining atmosphere. A garden-style entrance guides guests into a bright, open room where the focal point is a stage area featuring the chef's table. Central lighting and a mirrored ceiling draw attention to the open kitchen, framing the cooking as a visual performance while enabling intimate interaction between diners, the chef, and the sommelier.
The name La Tablée stems from the idea of people gathered around a table to eat together, establishing a spirit of shared enjoyment. This focus on connection supports the restaurant's standing with the Black Pearl Guide, which awarded a Diamond distinction for a dining experience that pairs sophisticated fusion cuisine with warmth. The seasonal menu keeps the offerings responsive to nature, while the room layout encourages guests to engage directly with the kitchen team.
