The story
Ristorante Aquarama brings Italian cooking to the shores of Lake Annecy, where every plate originates in an on-site kitchen. Charles guides the team through a menu featuring handmade pasta, classic pizza, and fresh regional fish. Steaks and seasonal salads complete the selection, prepared using long-standing recipes. This dedication to Italian kitchen principles earned the restaurant a 2026 Schlemmer Atlas recognition.
The dining space sits along the lakeside promenade, wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass that frames the water. Guests choose between the bright interior or the sheltered outdoor terrace when summer breezes turn cool. Charles greets visitors at the entrance, arranging tables to keep the lake in view. A wooden pontoon extends from the property, providing four mooring spots for arriving boats.
Operations follow a strict summer schedule, opening daily from May through September. Lunch service concludes at four in the afternoon, while dinner continues until midnight. The rhythm matches the lake’s tourism cycle, allowing the staff to maintain consistent quality during peak hours. This condensed timeframe encourages visitors to arrive early and settle in before the evening rush begins.
