The layout was designed by general manager Zeèv Rosenberg to function as a quiet refuge within the dense embassy quarter. Visitors often settle in for extended stays, reading or working without the pressure of rapid table turnover. The space operates more like a private study than a typical nightlife venue, offering steady comfort throughout the evening.

Monumental Architecture and Interior Dialogue

The structure began as a Danish diplomatic residence during the Second World War before architect Emil Schaudt finished its neoclassical exterior. Designer Patricia Urquiola directed the 2009 conversion, layering Spanish-inspired furnishings against heavy historical stonework. Warm textiles soften the original architectural weight, creating a restrained environment. The Schlemmer Atlas five-ladle recognition confirms how successfully the venue balances historic gravity with modern hospitality standards.
