The story
Guanfu Mansion Cuisine in Zhengding grounds its menu in the strict standards of Guanfu cuisine and Ming Dynasty officials. Chef Gao Ming directs the kitchen as a core member of the Wang Jianfeng Innovation Studio. He travels across China to source rare seasonal ingredients that meet exact texture requirements. This disciplined approach allows the Guanfu culinary style to balance historical precision with contemporary palates.
The kitchen dedicates hours to clarifying stocks for the Clear Soup Cuttlefish Roe. A crystal-clear broth cradles fresh roe that delivers a lingering sweetness alongside slow-cooked Blue Label Beef. Charcoal-grilled turbot arrives with a crisp skin and tender flesh, while the elaborate Buddha Jumps Over the Wall combines shark fin, sea cucumber, and abalone in one vessel. Each plate demonstrates careful heat management and precise ingredient pairing.
Located on the fourth floor of the International Building, the venue offers nine private dining rooms and seven open tables. Six multi-function halls accommodate larger business banquets or family gatherings. Recognized with a Black Pearl Diamond award, the space prioritizes cultural comfort over theatrical presentation. Guests settle into a quiet environment designed for steady conversation throughout the meal.
