The story
At THE BEIJING KITCHEN in Bade, the kitchen operates under the direct supervision of founder Gu Zhihui. He has guided this Cantonese restaurant to earn one Black Pearl diamond for six straight years. Every dish follows his insistence on sourcing healthy ingredients and maintaining strict quality controls. The concept now spans four locations across the mainland, yet this branch maintains its tight focus on personal oversight and consistent execution.
Guests commonly order from a menu built around fresh seafood, charcoal barbecue, and slow simmered broths. The kitchen also prepares handmade Hong Kong style dim sum using traditional folding and steaming methods. These preparations reflect a steadfast commitment to Cantonese cuisine that prioritizes ingredient integrity over theatrical presentation. Each plate arrives at the table ready to highlight the natural flavors of the region.
British design studio Studioilse shaped the interior to feel clean and quietly elegant. The layout avoids heavy ornamentation while keeping sightlines open between the dining area and the kitchen pass. Staff members move through the room with practiced coordination, adjusting lighting and pouring tea without interrupting conversation. That steady rhythm supports the overall pace of an evening spent tasting carefully portioned plates.
